Zinc die-casting alloy has a wide range of excellent physical and mechanical properties, castability and finishing characteristics. Compared with any commonly used die-casting alloys, zinc alloys can be die-casted to a thinner part. Zinc alloys generally allow greater variation in cross-section design and maintain smaller dimensional tolerances. The impact strength of zinc parts is higher than that of other die-cast alloys except brass. Due to the lower pressure and temperature of die-cast zinc alloy, the mold life is significantly extended and mold maintenance is minimal.
